Product Description

Bring your home to life

SmartSensor unlocks the full power of your ecobee thermostat for enhanced comfort when you’re home and savings when you’re away.

Works with SmartThermostat with voice control, ecobee4, ecobee3 lite, and ecobee3.

Features:

Better, balanced temperature. Measures temperature in multiple rooms for maximum comfort.

Comfort where it counts. Detects occupancy and sets the temperature for comfort in the rooms that matter most.

Improved sensor technology. Now with better range and accuracy, and up to five years of battery life.

Smart Home/Away. When your remote thermostat sensors detect you’re home, your ecobee thermostat automatically adjusts the temperature for comfort, and vice versa for energy savings when you’re away.

Follow Me mode. With Follow Me enabled, your room sensors detect which rooms are in use and your ecobee thermostat sets the household temperature to prioritize comfort in those rooms. Over time, your thermostat learns your family’s occupancy habits and adjusts the temperature automatically for smarter comfort and further savings.

With Follow Me, your thermostat:

Captures the temperature and occupancy readings from each of the active sensors.
Ranks them according to where you’re spending the most time.
Delivers the optimal home temperature.

Smart Recovery. With the Smart Recovery feature enabled, your ecobee uses local weather information, your occupancy habits, and an ongoing analysis of your HVAC system’s heating and cooling patterns so that it’s always the right temperature at the right time.

For example, if you routinely wake up at 6 a.m., Smart Recovery will start your HVAC equipment in advance to ensure your home is at your desired temperature by the time you’re up. As your ecobee thermostat gets to know your schedule and your home’s heating and cooling patterns, it learns how long it takes your home to get to your desired temperature. The longer you’ve had your thermostat, the more data it has, and the better it gets at bringing your home to the desired temperature by a specific time.

Thermal Protect. Keep your home comfortable and prevent your HVAC system from excessive runtime with Thermal Protect. With it enabled, your ecobee thermostat will ignore a sensor when its readings diverge from those of your other sensors beyond a certain customizable limit. (This can sometimes happen when a sensor is placed in a room that tends to get hotter (e.g. attic) or cooler (e.g. the basement) than the rest of the home.)
